HOW TO GET CONNECTED AT HIGHVIEW
One of the biggest questions I hear as a middle school pastor is, “How can I get my student connected to church?” At Highview, we have three primary ways to get your student connected.
1. Sunday Morning Bible Fellowship
Sunday mornings are the #1 way to get connected at Highview. Plug into a small group where you can experience real community. Don’t be a loner – link up with a small group every Sunday morning! We meet every Sunday morning on the third floor. We want to see you grow in your faith!
We offer 2 Bible Fellowship Hours:
9:00 am
The 9:00am hour is a smaller environment than the 10:15am hour. We meet on the third floor and have a time of hanging out where students can play video games, foosball, board games, or just talk with each other. We then have announcements, large group game, Bible lesson (guys and girls are split for the teaching time), and then small groups to interact with the lesson.
10:15 am
The 10:15am hour is our largest hour. We meet on the third floor and separate the 6th graders from the 7th and 8th graders. Students have an opportunity to hang out, play video games, foosball, and board games. The students are then split up into their classes (7th grade guys, 7th grade girls, 8th grade guys, and 8th grade girls) where they have a Bible lesson followed by small group discussion.
2. Wednesday Nights – 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Join us on Wednesday nights as middle school students hang out in the gym, grab food at the snack shack, and pile into a high energy worship service. Students will be presented a challenging message from God’s Word by an experienced Bible teacher while having fun and beating the myth that church has to be a boring place! After the message, students break into small groups for discussion and talk about how to get more out of God’s Word.
3. Events
Another great way for middle school students to get connected with Highview is through our events and programs.
